You are invited to participate in a Cultural Futures Forum, Creating a Future for Port Stephens as a cultural place.

Purpose:

1. Finalise the Draft Port Stephens Cultural Plan
2. Align our collective efforts toward addressing identified cultural priorities
3. Establish the 'Culture Port Stephens Network', a way of working together

Who should attend?

1. Representatives from local and regional community groups
2. Government agencies
3. Representatives from peak cultural organisations
4. Elected community leaders from all levels of Government
5. Council staff
6. Event organisers
7. Venue operators hosting the performing and visual arts
8. Tourism and business operators
9. Aboriginal Land Council reps

Informed decision making - Before the day, please:

3. If you intend to express interest in performing or presenting at the Cultural Showcase, please provide details by 4 September to allow enough of time for promotion of this public event. Showcase programming is covered in the Forum registration form. 
4. Spread the word to other organisations that may be interested in participating (as simple as forwarding this email to your contacts).
5. See the discussion paper (provided as a download below) outlining the identified cultural priorities, which are the basis for discussions on the day. Further material will be distributed to registered participants to assist with your preparation.
6. Consider how these relate to your organisation’s direction and how we could work together.
7. Identify the strategies your organisation would be interest to be involved in.  
8. Discuss with your organisation / community to identify what you can bring to the table.
